Amazfit Pop 3S teased as new smartwatch with huge AMOLED display
Amazfit has shared numerous details for a forthcoming smartwatch on Amazon India. Not only has the company showcased the smartwatch's features, but also that it will launch as the Amazfit Pop 3S. As the embedded product images show, the Pop 3S has a slim metallic frame and a single physical button on its right-hand side.
Potentially, the smartwatch has a plastic middle frame, although Amazfit boasts that it has included a stainless steel button and a corresponding strap. For reference, Amazfit has built at least the latter using SAE 304 stainless steel, the most common stainless steel around. It remains to be seen whether this applies to the device's sole hardware button too. Also, the appearance of a Pop 3S with a silicone strap suggests that the stainless steel strap will be offered as a more premium model.
Additionally, Amazfit's renders show the Pop 3S as having suspiciously narrow display bezels. Based on other Amazfit releases, we imagine that the Pop 3S will have noticeably larger bezels than those shown in the company's product images. In any case, the Pop 3S has a 1.96-inch AMOLED panel that resolves at 410 x 502 pixels and supports always-on display functionality. Moreover, Amazfit promises up to 12 days of battery life, plus the usual array of health-tracking features and smartphone integrations. While Amazfit has not revealed pricing or availability yet, the Pop series tends to be some of the company's cheaper smartwatches.
