Garmin Forerunner 245, 745 and 945 receive bug fixes and minor improvements with Beta Version 12.53
Garmin Beta Version 12.53 is now available for the Forerunner 245, Forerunner 745 and Forerunner 945 smartwatches. The latest software brings two bug fixes to the wearables, with the first resolving an issue that could cause the watches to crash when certain Daily Suggested Workouts were viewed. The second issue Garmin has worked on is a rare bug that could cause the gadget to lock up during a PacePro activity.
Garmin also notes in the v12.53 changelog that it has made minor GPS improvements. The previous update, Public Beta Version 12.52, was released almost a month ago. This software also brought a bug fix to these wearables, tackling an issue where VO2 Max or Training Load data was not updating as expected. Beta Version 12.53 is a Release Candidate, which means that Garmin intends to share a copy of this update with all smartwatches, assuming no significant problems are encountered.
Like other recent updates for the Forerunner 245, Forerunner 745 and Forerunner 945 wearables, the latest software will be automatically delivered to eligible watches via Garmin Connect Manager, with the device checking daily. At the time of writing, the Beta update is rolled out to 50% of smartwatches enrolled on the Garmin Beta Program. Should you wish to join the program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
