Garmin Instinct 2X receives new Beta Version 12.26 software
Garmin has released Beta Version 12.26 for the recently released Instinct 2X smartwatch. The new software brings two bug fixes to the wearable. Firstly, a problem which caused the Baseball activity to be missing from the app list has been resolved. Secondly, a potential issue that could prevent you from copying an activity or adding “Other” activities has been fixed.
The latest update will be delivered to eligible wearables OTA, with GCM automatically checking for the new software every 24 hours. Garmin suggests that owners of the Instinct 2X ensure they have the latest secure_config file, v1207, installed in their watch's RemoteSW folder before proceeding with the update. You can download the necessary file here. The company notes that it may take several hours for v12.26 to transfer and fully install on your wearable. Garmin asks that if users encounter a bug after installing the Beta software, they notify the brand via the Beta Bug Reports forum.
The previous update, Beta Version 12.25, was available for the Instinct 2, Instinct 2S, Instinct 2X and Instinct Crossover smartwatches. Again, this software brought a host of bug fixes to the wearables. If you wish to join the Garmin Beta Program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
