Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Tab S9 series to launch earlier than usual
If recent leaks are accurate, there's quite a bit for enthusiasts to unpack at Samsung's upcoming event. Among other things, we could see the Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra break cover. In addition, if some rumours are to be believed, the Galaxy S22 FE will also make a cameo, along with the Galaxy Tab S8 FE, and even a rollable tablet.
According to a report from South Korean media outlet Chosun, this year's Galaxy Unpacked will happen earlier than usual on July 26, echoing the sentiments of an earlier rumour. Unfortunately, people in the US/EU may have to stay up late to catch it, as it will take place in Seoul after years of being held in the United States. Additionally, those looking to buy Samsung's next generation of tablets and foldables can do so on August 11.
The information is further corroborated by Winfuture.de's sources and Twitter leaker Max Jambor. Samsung's decision to launch its H2 product stack two weeks early (last year's Unpacked was on August 10) stems from dwindling revenues from other verticals. Then again, Samsung isn't the only one pushing for an early launch of its products. Even Qualcomm and MediaTek plan to launch their flagship offerings in October. OEMs such as Xiaomi, Motorola, Oppo and Vivo are unlikely to wait and will unveil their next-gen smartphones accordingly.
