Motorola has now unveiled the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra, sold as the Razr and Razr+ in North America. Not only has Motorola confirmed all key specifications for both devices, but it has also outlined pricing across China, Europe, North America and the UK.

Motorola has now started taking orders for its two new foldable smartphones. It is worth noting that Motorola sells the pair under different names in North America than in other countries. On the one hand, Motorola has brought its two new foldables to North America as the Razr and Razr+. On the other hand, it sells the same devices elsewhere as the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra, including in China.

The pair feature different price tags depending on where you purchase them too. For example, the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra start at CNY 5,699 (~US$803) and CNY 6,399 (~US$902) in China. By contrast, the former sells for £799.99 in the UK and €899.99 in Europe, while the Razr 40 Ultra comes in at £1,049.99 and €1,199.99, respectively. Additionally, the Razr+ will be available in the US for US$999.99 and CAD$1,299.99 in Canada. So far, Motorola has not confirmed the North American launch prices of the Razr. Instead, it has only committed to making the device available 'in the coming months'.

Currently, it seems that Motorola will start selling the Razr 40 Ultra and Razr+ globally before the end of the month, with June 16 cited as a launch date for Canada and the US. While Motorola claimed that it had Razr 40 Ultra availability in Europe and the UK, it is out of stock on its German and UK websites, although some third-party retailers like Currys still have Razr 40 Ultra stock in the UK. As far as we can tell, the Razr 40 will not debut in Europe until sometime next month, too; both handsets are already orderable in China, though.

In short, there are no surprises when it comes to the pair's specifications, which leaked extensively before Motorola's launch. Thus, both models rely on last-generation Snapdragon chipsets and have high refresh rate foldable displays. Please see the screenshots below for Motorola's full Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra datasheets, which should also apply to the Razr and Razr+. For reference, Motorola has committed to delivering three major OS updates to both devices, leaving them on Android 16, and a fourth year of security updates.
