Motorola Razr 40 Ultra datasheet leaks as official billboard pictured
Leaker @_snoopytech_ has obtained the full datasheet for the Razr 40 Ultra, one of two foldables that Motorola will announce tomorrow. Launching alongside the Razr 40, the Razr 40 Ultra will be available in three colour options, listed below as Glacier Blue, Infinite Black and Viva Magenta. While most Razr 40 Ultra specifications have already surfaced online, the latest leak by @_snoopytech_ is the first time that the 6.99 mm thick and 188 g handset has been confirmed as only being IP52 certified.
In short, IP52 means that the Razr 40 Ultra is not waterproof. Instead, Motorola has only protected it against light water splashes and against dust ingress. By contrast, the Galaxy Z Flip4 carries an IPX8 rating, meaning that it is waterproof but not dustproof. The rest of the specification sheet does not contain any other surprises though, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset listed, as well as 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Additionally, the Razr 40 Ultra has a 6.9-inch foldable display and a 3.6-inch cover display, both pOLED panels. Contrary to earlier rumours, the foldable display will operate at 165 Hz, matching the Edge 40 Pro. In comparison, the cover display will peak at 144 Hz. Meanwhile, @nixanbal has shared a Razr 40 Ultra billboard from Sofia, which appears to have arrived a few days ahead of schedule, confirming the device's design, large cover display and Viva Magenta colourway.
