Google made it abundantly clear that it intends its first-gen Pixel Fold to compete head-on with the Galaxy Z Fold series, right down to the unabashed, premium-tier pricing of the more established Samsung flagships. It seems this gambit has paid off, as those who want to pre-order its most expensive 12/512GB SKU in one of its most prominent markets are now officially out of time to do so.
Then again, Google has never exactly disclosed just how many US$1,919 units of the Pixel Fold it made available to reserve in the US - plus, being available in just one Obisidian colorway did not do its availability any favors. In addition, it has yet to be released to third-party platforms such as Amazon, even though the 512GB Z Fold4 is still in stock - and you can even order the Huawei Mate Xs 2 on there now.
Nevertheless, the 256GB Pixel Fold is still available to order via google.com/us in Porcelain as well as Obisidian, and still comes with a free Pixel Watch - even if you want it with LTE - at the time of writing. It will still set you back by US$1,799, though.
