CASETiFY and OtterBox announce their first Pixel Fold cases
The Google Pixel Fold is a new flexible-display phablet rated to be as thin "as just a normal phone with a case on it". However, OtterBox and CASETiFY still recommend its prospective owners also invest in such an accessory anyway, particularly as this first taste of stock Android on 2 screens at once will cost at least US$1,799, after all.
Nevertheless, OtterBox for one touts its Thin Flex Series for Pixel Fold to retain as much slimness as possible while also keeping the device's advanced moving parts free. The accessories also serve to accentuate the Fold's rear camera hump and outer edges, particularly in its clear/blue colorway.
CASETiFY Pixel Fold Impact and Clear cases, on the other hand, have far more customization options, a 'Mondrian-print' option included. They are made of recycled EcoShock material for MIL-STD-810G-level protection, are "Made for Google certified" and have 'anti-yellowing' UV Defender Technology in the case of the Clear options.
Meanwhile, the ~50% recycled material Thin Flex Series share Qi wireless compatibility and an "antimicrobial" feature with the CASETiFY options. They are priced at US$59.99 and US$70 respectively, although OtterBox' new Pixel Fold cases have yet to be released to pre-order. In the meantime, the company has expanded its Commuter Series to accommodate the new Pixel 7a.
