DOOGEE's V20 will launch with the OEM's first-ever 2K+ display and more
Many consumers interested in a 'rugged'-type smartphone often find they have to compromise in terms of display quality, often being lucky to find a new device with an FHD+ display even in 2021. However, DOOGEE claims to solve this problem with the upcoming V20.
This smartphone's 6.43-inch display may represent a considerable leap in tough-phone screen specs, as it will be made of the same E4 AMOLED touted as a marquee feature of flagship Android devices from 2020 onward. Furthermore, it is touted as having a 2K+ resolution to go with its 20:9 aspect ratio.
The DOOGEE V20's new teasers also show that the unusually premium display also has an up-to-date punch-hole for its selfie camera. That's not all, though: the OEM has also added a 1.05-inch rear-facing secondary display, placed next to large triple lenses to complete that Mi 11 Ultra-esque look.
DOOGEE has left us to guess at the rest of the V20's specs at present, those of its cameras included. Nevertheless, it has already revealed that whatever SoC it turns out to have supports "dual" 5G. The OEM also notes that the upcoming phone's internals will be housed in an "aerospace-grade carbon-fiber finish" that confers the IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810G ingress-protection ratings expected of its category.
Similarly, pricing for the DOOGEE V20 has yet to be announced, and may not be unveiled until 2022. In the meantime, it is holding a giveaway for prizes that include the chance to order the upcoming 2K+ rugged phone for US$1 on the OEM's webstore.
