More Doogee V20 details surface, showing big improvements over the V10
Although the Doogee V10 remains an interesting rugged smartphone thanks to its gargantuan 8,500 mAh battery and the infrared forehead thermometer, its successor that will hit the market as the Doogee V20 will bring quite a few changes. According to their makers, "Both share a lot of similarities and differences but both devices boost strength in certain areas over the other."
The list of common specs and features includes an octa-core processor, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 16 MP selfie camera, 33 W fast charging (wireless charging supported as well), NFC, as well as IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810 certifications.
The list of differences is quite long and adds quite a few highlights in Doogee V20's column, starting with the 1.05-inch display on the back that can show time, battery level, notifications and reminders, and more. The V20 also sports an excellent 2K AMOLED display, while the V10 uses an LCD one with a lower resolution. The V20 comes with a 6,000 mAh battery, but this should not lead to lower autonomy due to the increased efficiency of the display.
The trio of main cameras places the V20 in the front once again, with 64 + 20 + 8 MP (main/night vision/wide angle) vs. 48 + 8 + 2 MP (main/wide/portrait). The Doogee V20 uses 256 GB of UFS 2.2 fast storage, 128 GB more than the V10, while both phones have 8 GB of memory.
The colors available will be Phantom Grey (AG Frost matte finish) and two Carbon Fiber finishes, namely Knight Black and Wine Red. First 1,000 buyers will get an exclusive US$100 discount if they subscribe on this page, but there is no launch date to talk about yet. Even better, the giveaway on the page above (just scroll to the bottom) will give 3 Doogee V20 phones and 6 50% OFF coupons to a few lucky ones.
