GTA 6 map may come with physical PS5 and Xbox pre-orders, suggests GameStop leak

Many gamers remain disappointed that GTA 6 pre-orders don't include an Xbox or PS5 disc option. However, one GameStop location says a paper map will join the digital code-in-box. While the claim has drawn skepticism, Rockstar has a history of hiding this bonus inside cases.
Redditor Small_Masterpiece892 shared a notice posted at a Pennsylvania GameStop. Pre-orders will receive a “physical collector’s map.” In addition, reserving the game unlocks the Vintage Vice City cosmetic pack. Although the redemption code won’t provide early access, buyers can collect their purchase a week before the November 19th release date.
Based on an assumption?
The hastily produced sign hasn’t convinced some fans that the store has inside information. Also, it advertises the Ultimate Edition DLC, which is exclusive to the Xbox and PlayStation Store. Nevertheless, there have been sporadic reports of other locations telling callers to expect a GTA 6 map.
Rockstar would be breaking tradition if the Xbox and PS5 boxes are empty. Since the original Grand Theft Auto in 1997, players have been supplied with a layout of the game world. That pattern continued through GTA 5 with a navigational aid for Los Santos. Even Red Dead Redemption 2 gave explorers a resource to avoid getting lost.
On the other hand, the upcoming GTA is the first to ditch discs. With less incentive to pre-order the cases, many fans have already begrudgingly opted for digital downloads. Retailers who depend on foot traffic would have preferred to promote any physical bonus in advance.
A map may cost a premium
Without the Standard Edition bundling the extra, the $400 Collector’s Box may be the only way to acquire a tangible GTA 6 map. Along with various merchandise, Rockstar is offering a dual-sided poster depicting the regions of Leonida. Cautious about leaks, the studio edited an uploaded version that initially had labels.
It’s wise to be cautious about the GameStop report. Regardless, as the GTA 6 release date approaches, Rockstar marketing could still have surprises to share.
