Leaks have plagued Ubisoft, and Assassin's Creed: Codename Hexe looks like no exception. The latest report addresses its price, pre-order editions, and builds on prior gameplay rumors. With a potential June 2027 release date, the witch-themed game would have a more linear structure.

Ubisoft’s promise of a unique Assassin's Creed game has intrigued fans. While few confirmed details exist, like Black Flag Resynced, Assassin's Creed: Codename Hexe leaks are multiplying. RogueTX, who earlier expanded on reports from other insiders, has revealed its price, pre-order options, and additional gameplay nuggets.

Hexe pre-orders and pricing

It appears the publisher will follow the example set by Assassin's Creed Shadows. RogueTX anticipates the standard version costing $69.99, with an $89.99 Deluxe and $119.99 Collector’s editions as alternatives. Already rated PEGI 18, platforms will include the PS5, Xbox, and PC. Steam buyers may again encounter the controversial Denuvo anti-cheat.

An exact Assassin's Creed: Codename Hexe release date is unclear. Reliable sources, like Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, expect a 2027 launch. RogueTX says June is a possibility, but that could also be a placeholder date.

What’s known for sure is that Ubisoft Montreal is developing the project. Announced in 2022, it’s described as “unique, darker, and narrative-driven.” The short teaser video suggested a supernatural theme, with the company explaining the game would be influenced by a “pivotal moment in history.” The Holy Roman Empire and its witch trials will likely serve as inspiration.

Players think they stumbled upon a Hexe leak in the recently released Black Flag Resynced. One mission included a mysterious building resembling the Würzburg Cathedral in Germany. That location was the base for many witch hunts during the 1600s.

A closed-world Assassin's Creed?

Unlike Shadows, Hexe may not offer a massive open world to explore. RogueTX describes the map as large-scale, but players follow a more linear path. Divided into three sections, environments consist of deep forest outposts, villages, and towns.

Taking a cue from Syndicate, elements from the Jack the Ripper DLC may return. The fear system would cause enemies to run away or disrupt their attacks. NPCs also reportedly become suspicious easily, forcing the protagonist, Anika, to employ stealth tactics.

The new leaks should be treated as rumors until Ubisoft provides clarification. Still, RogueTX believes the publisher could announce the Assassin's Creed: Codename Hexe price, release date, and other details shortly.
