Abxylute has launched its dual-OS E1 handheld game console, designed to run retro games locally as well as online streaming games.
The E1 is powered by a Rockchip RK3566 CPU with a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU, 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and up to 512 GB of microSD card storage. It offers a non-touch 640 x 480 IPS LCD display that is fully laminated, dual 1-watt speakers, and dual carbon-film analog joysticks.
The handheld can dual-boot Android and Linux. The Linux partition is pre-loaded with retro console emulators, while the Android partition provides access to modern console emulators as well as online game streaming services.
A 3,000 mAh lithium battery provides up to 5 hours of gameplay and recharges in 2 hours, according to the company. The handheld can be connected to TVs through its HDMI port, to accessories including storage devices and controllers through its USB-C (OTG) port, and to headphones through its 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The E1 has an MSRP of $69 and can be ordered from the Abxylute website for immediate delivery. Readers interested in the company's other handhelds can look through the Abxylute store on Amazon and read about the upcoming Abxylute 3D One tablet gaming PC with a true stereoscopic display.
