AMD Ryzen 7 7445HS

The AMD Ryzen 7 7445HS is a mid-range notebook processor from the Phoenix series with 6 cores and Hyperthreading (SMT), allowing it to process up to 12 threads simultaneously. The CPU uses the new Zen 4 / Zen 4c architecture and runs at clock speeds from 3.2 GHz (base clock) to 4.7 GHz (single-core boost). The CPU offers 6 MB of L2 cache and 16 MB of L3 cache.
Thanks to the new architecture and high clock speeds, performance should be significantly higher than that of the older Ryzen 6600U APU (Zen 3, 6 cores, max. 4.5 GHz). Compared to the similar Ryzen 5 7640U, the 7540U offers a slightly lower base clock and a weaker graphics card.
The chip integrates a modern RDNA 3-based graphics card (iGPU) called Radeon 740M with 4 CUs and up to 2.7 GHz, including an AV1 video engine. The Ryzen AI NPU is not available in the 7540U (Xilinx FPGA-based XDNA AI accelerator). For connectivity, Phoenix offers 2x USB 4 (40 Gbps), 20 PCIe 4.0 lanes and a dual-channel DDR5-5600 / LPDDR5x-7500 memory controller (without ECC support).
The chip is manufactured at TSMC using the modern 4nm FinFET process. AMD specifies a TDP of 20 - 40 watts, with a default of 35 watts.
