Xiaomi's upcoming sub-flagship phone leaks with notable upgrades

The Xiaomi Redmi K series is a sub-flagship lineup of smartphones. The K90 series was released in October 2025, including two devices: the standard K90 and the K90 Pro Max. Now, a prominent tipster Digital Chat Station has shed light on the company's next-generation sub-flagship phone.
The tipster does not reveal the exact name of the phone. However, if the company follows the previous naming scheme, the phone in question could be called the Redmi K100 Pro Max.
The tipster suggests it will be powered by a 2nm chipset. While the tipster does not reveal the exact chipset, Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 on a 2nm process, making it a likely candidate. For reference, the standard Redmi K90 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the K90 Pro Max uses the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 based on a 3nm process.
Furthermore, the tipster reveals it may feature a new 200MP primary camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor. The camera setup may also include a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. For comparison, the K90 Pro Max has a 50MP triple rear camera setup.
Following its predecessor's launch timeframe, the Redmi K100 Pro Max could arrive in Q4 2026. Note that there is currently no official word on the K100 series, so the above information should be taken with a pinch of salt.
