OnePlus 16 leak reveals primary camera details

OnePlus is currently teasing its new compact phone, the OnePlus 15T. It is expected to launch in China in March. Meanwhile, a new leak has surfaced regarding the company's next-generation flagship, the OnePlus 16.
A leak from @OnePlusClub on X reveals the potential primary camera options for the OnePlus 16. The tipster suggests the company is evaluating two options: the 50MP Sony LYT-700 and the 200MP Samsung Isocell HP5. For context, the Sony LYT-700 is believed to be similar to the Sony IMX906 used on the OnePlus 15 (curr. $899 on Amazon), featuring a 1/1.56" sensor size.
Meanwhile, the Samsung HP5 sensor was introduced in October 2025 as the smallest 200MP sensor with a 1/1.56" form factor. Corroborating this, prominent tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo had also hinted at a 200MP primary sensor for the OnePlus 16. Notably, the device may also reportedly use a 200MP telephoto lens, raising the possibility of dual 200MP camera sensors for the next-gen flagship.
For now, there is no official word on the OnePlus 16's camera setup, so take the above information with a pinch of salt. Separately, a recent leak pointed to sub-1mm bezels for the OnePlus 16.
