The Vivo X Fold 5 is a flagship foldable smartphone released earlier this year. The key highlights of the Vivo X Fold 5 are its Zeiss optics, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a large 6,000mAh battery. Notably, it also features a slim design, weighing 217g with a thickness of 4.3mm (unfolded). A new leak has now surfaced, revealing early details of its successor: the Vivo X Fold 6.
Writing on Weibo, tipster Smart Pikachu suggests that the Vivo X Fold 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This is a new sub-flagship processor that will make its debut later this month with the OnePlus Ace 6T. A recent Geekbench 6 CPU test revealed scores of 2,981 in single-core and 10,136 in multi-core, suggesting a notable performance improvement over the Vivo X Fold 5's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The leak suggests that the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature a 200MP camera. The predecessor X Fold 5 featured a 50MP triple rear camera setup. Meanwhile, other competitors like the Honor Magic V5 and Oppo Find N5 also use 50MP sensors. Notably, the Vivo X Fold 6 may feature Zeiss-branded optics, as seen on previous X-series flagships.
The tipster also suggests that it will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Other specifications remain a mystery for now. Vivo's flagship foldable smartphone is tipped to be released in Q2 2026.
