Oppo has just released the Reno15 in China. Launched alongside the larger Reno15 Pro, the Reno15 combines a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset and a 6,200 mAh battery within a 151 x 72 x 7.99 mm housing. According to Yogesh Brar, Oppo is already working on a global model to complement the recent international launches of the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro.
However, Brar indicates that major changes are afoot for the Reno15 and its global variant. Apparently, none of the specifications mentioned above are set to return, nor is the 200 MP primary camera also offered in China. Instead, Brar claims that Oppo will switch to a 50 MP primary camera, which is said to be joined by a 50 MP and 3.5x telephoto camera plus an unspecified ultra-wide-angle sensor.
Moreover, Brar believes that Oppo will swap in a 6.59-inch OLED display, a 6,500 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset to complete the changes from its Chinese counterpart. If the latter occurs, the global Reno15 would likely lag behind its Chinese sibling's performance by a large margin. According to our benchmarks, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 falls short of the Dimensity 8400 that powers devices like the Poco X7 Pro (curr. $389 on Amazon), let alone the newer Dimensity 8450. Currently, Brar anticipates that Oppo will unveil the Reno15 by February 2026 outside China.
