An executive with the mobile division of Lenovo in China has hinted that more of its upcoming devices could launch with 512GB of internal storage - its next-gen foldables included. This, then, could include the rumored successor for the second-gen Razr smartphone.

The Moto Edge S30 is a phone released with up to 512GB of internal storage in China, which is surprising, particularly given its sub-flagship status. However, according to Chen Jin, an executive for the brand's owner, Lenovo, the option has proven so popular the company needs to keep its eye on its supply so that it will stay in stock for the duration of its current sale.

In fact, Lenovo has now acknowledged that ample storage space is what consumers now want in their smartphones (which may have something to do with the dwindling availability of new models with microSD card support). To this end, Chen Jin now hints that more mobile hardware to come from Motorola or Lenovo will launch with 512GB storpage options - its future foldables included.

Accordingly, the OEM's Razr could get a third generation with this high-end spec. Other devices that might be in line for this treatment could include the rumored Legion Phone 3's Pro and Elite variants, not to mention the Motorola flagship currently thought of as the Frontier on the leaks circuit.
