Motorola Razr 3: More details about next-generation foldable smartphone leak
@OnLeaks has revealed details about Motorola's next foldable smartphone. Unlike past leaks, @OnLeaks has shared information about the handset's pricing and colour options, or lack thereof. Seemingly, Evan Blass has already what the foldable looks like, outlined last month in two leaks.
Currently, Motorola is expected to call its next foldable 'Razr 3', rather than the Razr 2. However, the company has released two models in its rekindled Razer series to date, most recently with the Razr 5G. Hence, Blass and @OnLeaks both consider Razr 3 as the likely name for Motorola's upcoming foldable smartphone. According to @OnLeaks, Motorola will offer the Razr 3 in Quartz Black, a colour option that has not leaked yet.
Instead, Blass has provided photos of the Razr 3 in a more silver finish. Potentially, this could be a prototype colour that Motorola has decided against bringing to market. Alternatively, it could be another colour option that Motorola will introduce further down the line, as @OnLeaks suggests could be the case. Separately, @OnLeaks claims that the Razr 3 will launch for €1,149 in Europe, undercutting its predecessor by €250. Still, the Razr 3 will cost €100 more than the Galaxy Z Flip3, which launched for €1,049 with 128 GB of storage. Presumably, the Galaxy Z Flip4 will cost as much as its predecessor too.
Purportedly, Motorola could include 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for €1,149, a storage combination that Samsung does not offer for the Galaxy Z Flip3. Also, Motorola is expected to equip the Razr 3 with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, matching rumoured specifications for the Galaxy Z Flip4. As it stands, Motorola is rumoured to announce the Razr 3 in China first, where it will debut next month. Releases in other markets are planned, but there are no firm dates for these yet.
