SwitchBot has announced that "almost all" of its smart and automatic home devices are now eligible for the OEM's conversion to support Google's universal connection system Matter. That includes its latest K10+ mini smart vacuum, which might now be able to respond to user controls in a more streamlined, direct manner.

The "leading smart home retrofitting and automation brandSwitchBot has now completed its adoption of Google's Matter standard, augmenting its pre-existing panel of support for HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Home Assistant.

Accordingly, those who use its Hub 2 smart remote/environment monitor (currently $69.99 on Amazon) should be able to use it in order to control all other compatible devices or appliances that share its infra-red code.

SwitchBot's entire range of robot vacuums, the new K10+ included, should also now be able to integrate with any other Matter-compliant devices around the house, whether they are in use or on sale (as the new mini multi-mode vacuum is right now for 20% on Amazon).

The expanded upgrade to Matter should be available from now, and requires that the user download the newest firmware available for their SwitchBot equipment (if applicable), and use the latest version of the OEM's app to activate it.
