Logitech is back with a new compact keyboard that brings together a rich set of hardware highlights and software-driven accolades. The G Pro X 60 Lightspeed, as its name suggests, is a compact keyboard that takes advantage of the 60 percent form factor. This piece of hardware was developed with more than 70 e-sports professionals. During the design and testing phases, more than 30 prototypes were evaluated across no less than eight rounds of customer insight research.
While the compact size leaves aside some essential keys, Logitech decided to integrate the brand's KeyControl technology, thus offering the chance to assign up to 15 functions per key. To do this, the user needs to use the G Hub software, which is freely available and works with Windows and macOS. This piece of code can also be used to adjust RGB lighting, create game profiles, and even integrate with OBS and other apps.
Available with GX Optical switches that are factory-lubricated and come in both tactile and linear configurations, the Logitech G Pro X 60 Lightspeed also sports dual-shot PBT keycaps, a volume roller and media controls, a 2:1 Lightspeed adapter, as well as a semi-hard carrying case. The color choices are white, pink, and black. Regardless of the options chosen, it can be pre-ordered from Logitech for $179 US or €229, depending on the market. Major retailers will get it by the end of the month.
Those in a hurry who have no problem with the full-size form factor can currently grab the Logitech G915 Lightspeed off Amazon for $202.98 instead of $249.99, thanks to a 19% discount.
