Microsoft is significantly expanding options for the playablity of titles via Xbox Cloud Gaming. The range of titles is rather limited, but also includes strong titles.

Microsoft now offers the option of streaming game titles via the cloud, which is primarily intended for owners of systems with limited storage space, provided they have a strong internet connection. Ideally, this should not only have a high data transfer rate, but also stability and low latency. To this end, Microsoft is rolling out a new beta version of Xbox Cloud Gaming. However, as the name suggests, this is not directly available for all users, but only to participants in the 'Insider Program'.

The new version now also supports keyboard and mouse control, but this is still at a relatively early stage of development. Accordingly, the list of supported titles is still quite short, but includes top-class titles such as Fortnite, ARK Survival Evolved, Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Halo Infinite, Atomic Heart, Sniper Elite 5, Deep Rock Galactic, High on Live, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, Gears Tactics, Pentiment, Doom 64 and Age of Empires 2.

There are some restrictions: Fortnite is only supported when using Xbox Cloud Gaming via the browser with a mouse and keyboard, and Atomic Heart can cause problems when switching from mouse and keyboard to controller and back. Full screen mode must be activated for the mouse and keyboard to be usable. Version 2408.240321-2200 of Xbox Cloud Gaming also brings other bug fixes and provides information on how to fix sound problems, for example.
