Few games have commanded the kind of fascination that Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI (or 6) has. The game is the next entry in the long-running series that started with the launch of the original GTA in 1997. Since then, Rockstar has published a whopping 17 GTA titles with the newest scheduled to release next year.
Thankfully, after over a decade in development, GTA 6 release date is reportedly set for 18th February 2025. The leak comes to us courtesy of @Nuro_Citrix on X who has previously successfully revealed the timeline of the GTA 6’s debut trailer. So, the purported release date might have some merit.
GTA 6 possibly releasing in February 2025 is in line with past rumors and speculation from a variety of sources. For instance, we reported earlier this month that a job listing from Rockstar suggested a Q1 2025 release date for the game. Coupled with Bloomberg’s story about the studio asking employees to return to office as GTA 6 is entering the last stretch of its long development, the new GTA 6 release date leak doesn’t seem far-fetched.
That said, video games are notorious for missing their launch dates. This holds doubly true for a project as big as GTA 6. So, we’ll only know the launch date of GTA 6 until Rockstar confirms it.
