Dell today unveiled its new KM555 Silent Keyboard and Mouse, a quiet combo designed to end the clatter of an office environment.
True to its name, the KM555 keyboard has silent keys that Dell claims is "engineered for the modern workplace..., allowing quiet workers to focus and excel without disruption." The keyboard and mouse both boast a 36-month battery life which should last the entirety of Dell's 3-year advance exchange service. Additionally, both peripherals combined are made from 64% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. The mouse alone is made from 54% PCR plastic, while the keyboard is comprised of 70% PCR plastic.
The keyboard features shortcut keys across the function row, including media controls and keys to launch apps like the calculator. It can be used between two devices via a 2.4 GHz wireless USB dongle and Bluetooth LE 5.1 with a button for switching between connected devices. There is also a dedicated Copilot key for launching Windows' new AI assistant.
The keyboard has a full number pad on the right and full-sized arrow keys. The Page Up, Page Down, Home and End keys are arranged in a vertical column above the right arrow key.
Dell did not announce pricing or availability for the KM555 Silent Keyboard and Mouse combo as of press time.
