Razer has no Prime Day savings on its latest product, although it might save some gaming desk space with its numberpad-free design.
The Blackwidow V4 Tenkeyless (or TKL) HyperSpeed's socketed PCB design is compatible with "most" 3- or 5-pin mechanical switches, and is thus touted to make them as swappable as possible.
Accordingly, the user should be able to pull its stock Razer Orange switches to mix and match them with others (such as the OEM's Yellow or Green alternatives) to achieve the ideal typing experience.
The accessory's stock black PBT keycaps are also interchangeable with others in Green, White or Quartz - or even Razer's Phantom Stealth Pudding sets. Each of the resulting keys can be lit independently with Chroma RGB.
The V4 TKL HyperSpeed is also touted to deliver a "clean" typing sound via internals such as dual foam layers sandwiched between its 5052 Aluminum Alloy Top case and its bottom case, which has a 2-stage kickstand for potentially improved ergonomics.
The new addition to the Blackwidow V4 series drops an OLED screen for extra physical controls, 3 of which are shortcuts to audio, media and battery settings.
It also supports Snap Tap with eponymous HyperSpeed 2.4GHz wireless performance, although it can also use Bluetooth for multi-device connectivity.
The Blackwidow V4 Tenkeyless has been released via Razer or Amazon for $179.99. For those after a well-matched mouse to complete their set-up, the Cobra Pro is currently 21% off its $129.99 price.
