Apple's latest Macs excel at emulating Windows games, with even the base M4 Mac mini handling many PC titles effortlessly. However, gaming peripherals designed for macOS remain scarce. Corsair is addressing this gap by launching updated versions of its popular K65 Plus and M75, originally released for Windows earlier this year.
The K65 Plus wireless gaming keyboard for Mac retains the compact 75% layout of the original. It features pre-lubed MLX Red v2 switches, which are linear and quieter than many other mechanical switches, thanks to integrated dampers.
But what really sets this version apart is its macOS-specific enhancements, including command and option keys tailored to the macOS layout. A full row of function keys aligns with Apple's keyboard design, but for those wanting customization, Corsair's iCUE software offers extensive key remapping options.
Meanwhile, the M75 wireless gaming mouse remains largely unchanged from its Windows counterpart. Its ambidextrous design ensures comfort for both right-handed and left-handed gamers. The mouse features a high-precision 26K DPI Marksman optical sensor for accurate tracking and optical switches for instant click responsiveness.
When it comes to connectivity, the gaming keyboard can connect to Mac and other Apple devices (base M4 MacBook Pro curr. $1,399 on Amazon) via Bluetooth, a 2.4 GHz dongle, or a USB cable. Corsair claims that it can offer up to 266 hours of runtime, but that's likely applicable for 2.4 GHz mode. As for the wireless mouse, it connects via Bluetooth or the company's proprietary Slipstream tech. It's rated for up to 105 hours of battery life.
Both peripherals now come in Mac-exclusive colorways, adding a sleek aesthetic touch. As for the price, the K65 Plus costs $179.95, while the M75 is available for $129.95. They can be purchased through Apple's retail and online stores.
