Pizza Hut's PS5 gadget aims to keep pizza warm for gamers, but faces cold reception
Pizza Hut recently launched a new offering under the name "Pizzawrmr," providing gamers with free 3D print files for a PS5 gadget designed to keep pizza warm. This pizza warmer is essentially a rectangular box with strategically placed air vents, ensuring no gamer has to settle for cold pizza again. It is placed directly on the console, with the waste heat from the Playstation being directed into the pizza compartment. To keep crumbs and grease away from the console, Pizza Hut recommends using an aluminum tray.

The 3D print files can be downloaded for free from the Pizza Hut website by simply entering your email address and name, with a required print area of 38 x 38 centimeters. The fast food chain recommends 3D printers such as the Elegoo Neptune 4 Max (available on Amazon for $447). On November 29, Pizza Hut Canada is planning a livestream in which the "pizza warmer" will be presented live in action.
Incidentally: The "Pizzawrmr" is not the first gaming gadget from a fast food chain. Back in 2020, KFC surprised everyone with a powerful console with an integrated chicken warmer, which many initially thought was a joke.
Reddit users fear melting plastic and toxic fumes
So far, it doesn't look like Pizza Hut's PS5 gadget will be very popular among gamers. On Reddit, many users are expressing concerns about the safety of the pizza warmer. Fears revolve around possible overheating of the PS5, melting plastic and the release of harmful vapors.
