Asus has unveiled a new keyboard and gaming mouse at CES 2024. The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile is a compact keyboard with a touch panel, and the ROG Keris II Ace is a high-end mouse that can track up to 42,000 DPI.

Asus has launched several peripherals alongside the ROG Strix Scar laptops. They include a pair of TWS earbuds, a microphone, a keyboard and a mouse. The Asus ROG Keris II Ace is a flagship gaming mouse, and the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile is a 60% gaming keyboard for minimalists. They will be available later this year for a soon-to-be-revealed price.

Asus claims the ROG Keris II Ace can track on glass with less than 1% deviation thanks to its ROG AimPoint Pro optical sensor. It can track movements at up to 42,000 DPI. By default, the mouse polls at 1,000 Hz, but one can up that to 4,000 Hz wirelessly and 8,000 Hz over a wire with the included polling rate booster. The ROG Keris II Ace can interface with devices via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Lastly, the mouse weighs 54 grams, and its buttons can be clicked 100 million times before they fail.

Moving on, the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile comes with Asus' in-house ROG RX Low-Profile optical switches. The lack of physical keys can be compensated by a touch panel at the top, which also lights up. Portability is one of the main advantages of low-profile keyboards, and the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile comes with a handy cover to protect it from environmental contagions. The keyboard can interface with devices via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a cable. One can toggle between Windows and MacOS mode with a handy switch.

Both the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile and ROG Keris II Ace can connect directly to Asus' ROG Omni Receiver, which has to be purchased separately. It saves the hassle of lugging multiple dongles around, and Asus claims the connection has lower latency compared to regular dongles.
