Huawei pushes new update to Watch 4 Pro smartwatch
The Huawei Watch 4 Pro smartwatch is receiving a March 2024 security patch. Version 4.0.0.230 (C432E2R1P2) follows the last update, arriving in February, software version 4.0.0.219. This software brought three new watch faces to the wearable and added a feature to improve the wearable’s battery life.
As is often the case with security patch updates, the change log notes are short, stating that the watch will have an “improved security system”. The March 2024 security patch for the Huawei Watch 4 Pro smartwatch is 423MB in size and can be downloaded via the Huawei Health app. The company recommends that you ensure you have the latest version of the app installed on your phone before you begin the update and warns that the process “may take some time”.
It appears that the March 2024 security patch is being released in phases, meaning it may take several weeks for all models to receive the update; Huawei has yet to confirm when this rollout will be complete. The update for the Huawei Watch 4 Pro smartwatch follows the recent release of similar updates for smartphones like the Huawei Mate 50 Pro. Plus, a new special edition of the Huawei Watch 4 Pro wearable is now available to pre-order in China.
