Nvidia's first driver package of 2024 comes with GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER support

This month, Nvidia is adding three SUPER video cards to the existing lineup, namely the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER. The latter is the first one to hit the market and, as usual, it arrives alongside a new driver package. Released earlier today, the Game Ready Driver 546.65 comes with optimizations for this GPU, DLSS 2 support for Palworld, as well as new settings presets for GeForce Experience. 

According to Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER "is great for gaming at max settings at 1440p in the latest and greatest titles" and is 1.5X faster than the GeForce RTX 3090 thanks to DLSS 3. In all scenarios, the new GPU is also using far less power than its predecessor. When compared to the GeForce RTX 3070 or RTX 2070, Nvidia labels the new GPU as "a super upgrade" that can easily take on today's most demanding games at resolutions up to 1440p. 

The five titles that receive one-click optimal settings presets in GeForce Experience and join the list of over 1,000 games that already have these optimizations ready to go are Apocalypse Party, Ash Echoes, Escape from Tarkov: Arena, House Flipper 2, and Pioneers of Pagonia. Palworld will get DLSS 2 optimizations on January 19th, when it is set to launch as an Early Access title.

Although there aren't expected supply issues and multiple brands have unveiled their RTX 4070 SUPER video cards, those looking for a good price can also grab the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Twin Edge OC White Edition(ZT-D40700Q-10M) off Amazon for $549.99 instead of $589.99.
