Pocketpair's latest creation, the crafting and survival title Palworld, launched with a bang, breaking the one million sales threshold in just eight hours. This open-world game is available on Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S consoles and can be played by up to 32 players per server.

Unleashed yesterday on Steam as an early access title and subject to a 10% launch discount until January 25th, open-world survival & crafting game Palworld has already managed to break the million sales barrier. To make the launch even more successful, the game managed to enter the Top 25 All-Time Peaks for a Game on Steam with over 676,000 concurrent players, a number that allows Palworld to put AAA titles such as GTA V, Halo: Infinite, or Skyrim to shame.

At the time of writing, Palworld dominates the Steam Charts with most players connected at once, ahead of PUBG and Counter-Strike 2 (which has a higher 24h Peak). When talking about All-Time Peak labels that read over 1,000,000, Steam Charts only lists five such titles, namely PUBG, Counter-Strike 2, Lost Ark, Dota 2, and Cyberpunk 2077. Judging by Palworld's explosive launch day, it wouldn't be a surprise to see it enter the Top 5 this weekend.

This title allows players to fight and capture over 100 creatures similar to Pokémons (known as Pals), thus earning the "Pokémon With Guns" nickname. Although it is available on Windows, Xbox One (Amazon Renewed 2017 1 TB version with Wireless Controller: Xbox One X Enhanced, now available for $243.98), and Xbox Series X | S, only Steam gamers can enjoy the 32-player dedicated multiplayer servers. When hosting a game to play with friends, the limit goes down to four. Since the guilds can have up to 20 members, it seems logical that the game will have the dedicated server limit raised to at least 40 players via a future update.

On Steam, Palworld currently has 12,738 reviews, of which 92% are positive. The introductory offer mentioned earlier has the game at $26.99 instead of $29.99, and the game + soundtrack bundle currently go for $31.33 (13% off, down from $35.98).
