The flagship home theater ultra-short throw (UST) projector with Leica branding has finally become available in the US. The Cine 1 throws an image of up to 120 inches in size at up to 3,000 nits of brightness in XPR-upscaled 4K. It also packs 50W Dolby Atmos-enhanced speakers and has Google TV for its smart-home features.

Leica unveiled its Cine 1, a projector made with Hisense RGB laser technology equipped with Summicron lenses, at IFA 2022 - however, it is only now that the next upcoming Berlin show has nearly rolled around that it has been made available on the US market.

The UST unit still boasts the 3,000-nit brightness rating and Expanded Pixel Resolution (XPR) 4K upscaling technology from its initial European launch, and is finished with an "iconic Leica design" aluminum housing with an "automatic dust cover".

It can now be found to pre-order on B&H in 100- or 120-inch maximum throw SKUs, the former of which is bundled with a branded ALR screen that can also be purchased as an optional US$1,995 extra. Accordingly, the "100-inch Daylight ALR Screen Kit" now goes for US$10,989.95, whereas the 120-inch Cine 1 has been revealed to cost US$9,495 on its own.

Should a buyer want a "Leica 120-inch Cinematic Projection Screen" to go with that, it will cost another US$2,895. B&H estimates that the new Google TV UST unit will be ready to ship by September 6, 2023.
