Hardly any time has passed since Insta360 released the Go Ultra as a replacement for the Go 3S and a rival for the upcoming DJI Osmo Nano. Nonetheless, the company has decided to introduce a new version of the Ace Pro 2, which it initially started selling in October 2024 (curr. $539 on Amazon). As with the X5 before it, Insta360 has updated the Ace Pro 2 with a white finish to complement the Midnight Black variant it already offers.
Fundamentally, the Arctic White Limited Edition contains the same hardware as Ace Pro 2 units. Thus, it combines a 1/1.3-inch sensor that can shoot in up to 4K/60 FPS or 8K/30 FPS in a 13 mm equivalent focal length with an f/2.6 aperture. Moreover, the Ace Pro 2 can capture 50 MP photos and is supported by a 1,800 mAh battery rated for up to 180-minute runtimes.
Also, the Arctic White Limited Edition remains compatible with existing Ace Pro 2 accessories like Insta360's Cold Shoe Shutter Button, Utility Frame or Wrist Strap. Likewise, the refresh can be picked up in various bundles aimed at different use cases, like the Bike Bundle or Winter Bundle. For some reason, Insta360 is only offering the Arctic White Limited Edition with a Single Battery. In comparison, the standard Midnight Black variant can be optioned with a backup battery, too.
At the time of writing, Insta360 is not offering its latest action camera refresh in the US. Instead, it has listed the Ace Pro 2 Arctic White Limited Edition in other markets like Canada and the UK, starting at CA$629.99 and £449.99, respectively. By contrast, the Eurozone has received the same refresh for €529.99, albeit as the Ace Pro 2 Polar White edition in some member states.
