Insta360 has updated its latest 360-degree action camera for the second time in as many months. Arriving shortly after the release of the DJI Osmo 360, the Satin White Limited Edition departs from the typical black exteriors of many action cameras while retaining the core features of the original Insta360 X5.

Roughly a month has gone by since Insta360 introduced the X5 BMW Motorrad Edition adorned with BMW Motorrad branding. As we discussed at the time, the collaboration also included the Mini Remote, which one must typically purchase separately (curr. $29.99 on Amazon) with other Insta360 X5 packages.

Now, the company has started selling the Satin White Limited Edition, which it considers to be a 'premium colourway' that 'adds a refined touch' to the 360-degree action camera it has been selling since April. Fundamentally, the new Satin White Limited Edition contains the same underlying hardware as the original Insta360 X5, though.

In other words, the new release features a 1/1.28-inch camera sensor that captures 360-degree footage in up to 8K at 30 FPS or 5.7K at 60 FPS. Moreover, the Satin White Limited Edition should last upwards of 3 hours on its 2,400 mAh battery when recording footage in the latter resolution. Please see our original Insta360 X5 launch article for more hardware information.

As for the Satin White Limited Edition itself, Insta360 has priced it at $549 with its Standard Bundle including a year's worth of Insta360+ subscription with 1 TB of cloud storage. Alternatively, one can purchase the Starter Bundle or Essentials Bundle for $599 and $659.99, respectively. For some reason, Insta360 has decided against offering the Satin White Limited Edition in the same bundles as the standard Midnight Black variant, though. More details about the new Satin White edition can be found on Insta360's website.
