Insta360 X5 BMW Edition launches with 8K 360° video, ride telemetry, and handlebar remote

Insta360 has partnered with BMW Motorrad to introduce a specialized version of its action camera for motorcycle enthusiasts.

The new Insta360 X5 BMW Motorrad Edition is a limited-run camera that takes the powerful 8K recording capabilities of the standard X5 and adds a set of tools and design elements tailored for life on two wheels.

This collaboration brings functional upgrades that riders will appreciate, all built around a proven 360-degree camera platform.

This special version is immediately identifiable by its co-branding. You will find the BMW Motorrad brand on the camera's back cover and its included accessories. The customization continues inside the camera.

The user interface and the statistics dashboard now feature a BMW theme. This allows the camera to display real-time riding data, such as your speed and the distance you have traveled, directly as an overlay on your video footage.

A primary addition to this package is the BMW Motorrad Mini Remote. This small device is made to attach directly to your motorcycle's handlebar.

It gives you the ability to start or stop recording with a simple tap, removing the need to reach for the camera itself. The remote also lets you switch between different camera views.

You can toggle from a fixed, forward-facing shot to an immersive 360-degree video using the InstaFrame Mode, all while maintaining full control of your bike.
