Casio unveils new full metal G-Shock watches with Tough Solar and Bluetooth
Casio has unveiled three full metal G-Shock watch models in Japan—the G-Shock GST-W1000D-1AJF, the GST-W1000D-2AJF, and the GST-W1000D-3AJF. These models are distinguished by their dial colors. For example, the G-Shock GST-W1000D-1AJF and the GST-W1000D-3AJF models feature black and green dials, while the GST-W1000D-2AJF comes with a deep blue dial paired with a black bezel.
The GST-W1000 series uses a relatively large case, measuring 50 x 45.5 x 13.2 mm (1.97 x 1.79 x 0.52) inches and weighing 138 grams (4.87 oz). All three watches are paired with integrated stainless steel bracelets with one-push tri-fold clasps. Casio has also equipped the watches with its self-developed Tough MVT.2 movement, which helps detect shocks and magnetic interference to maintain accurate hand positioning.
Despite the full metal construction, Casio’s latest G-Steel GST-W1000 series watches retain a shock-resistant structure using carbon-fiber-reinforced resin. These analog watches also offer many of the useful features found on Casio’s digital watches. These include Bluetooth connectivity, world time, stopwatch, timer, and automatic calendar. The full metal G-Shock watches have unlimited runtimes thanks to the use of Tough Solar charging technology fitted underneath the watch faces.
Other notable features of these radio-controlled (Multiband 6) timepieces include 200 m (20 bar) water resistance, an LED light, anti-reflective-coated sapphire glass, and a battery indicator display. The Casio G-Shock GST-W1000D-1AJF and the GST-W1000D-3AJF are priced at ¥110,000 (~$699) each, while the GST-W1000D-3AJF costs ¥115,500 (~$735). The GST-W1000 models are currently listed for the October 2026 release in Japan. We still don’t know when Casio plans to roll out the new G-Steel GST-W1000 models to the US.
