Kronosti Strata GMT: Outdoor watch with titanium, bronze and natural stone

The Kronosti Strata GMT is an outdoor watch with a number of distinctive features at a starting price of approximately $269. The Kickstarter project positions it as a distinctive alternative to conventional GMT watches in that it combines a light titanium construction with a selection of genuine stone dial materials.

Listed specifications include 300-meter water-resistance, sapphire crystal, automatic mechanical GMT movement and Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9, a high-grade, non-radioactive glow-in-the-dark pigment used on watch dials and hands. As for dimensions, the watch case is said to have a diameter of 41 mm and a thickness of 13 mm, while lug-to-lug is 48 mm and the lug width 22 mm. For an additional $39, buyers can upgrade the titanium bezel to a bronze bezel.

The natural stone dials are the main visual selling point: buyers can choose from four finishes: White Marble, Black Marble, Blue Goldstone or Tiger Iron. For an additional $15-50, buyers can choose from a further 11 natural stone dials, or pay $120 for the Meteorite dial. A variety of bezel styles are also included, with an upgrade costing $19. A color-matching rubber strap is included in the scope of delivery, which users can upgrade to a nylon strap ($29), a premium nylon strap with clasp ($39) or a titanium mesh bracelet ($83).

Another option is the upgrade to a burnt titanium case for $129, which gives the watch a unique blend of blue, purple, and gold tones via a specialized heat-treatment process. Last but not least, the watch is powered by a Hangzhou 6460 automatic GMT movement, meaning it does not use a battery and is instead powered by a mechanical mainspring, with a power reserve of approximately 40 to 46 hours when fully wound. As you wear the watch, your wrist movement automatically winds the mainspring, or you can wind it manually by hand via the crown.

Interested buyers should note, however, that shipping is expected to begin in one year, i.e., in October 2027, with a flat-rate worldwide shipping fee of $35. Each watch comes with a two-year warranty. Crowdfunding campaigns involve certain risks, including the possibility that the product may not work as advertised or may not arrive at all.
