Casio launches new streetwear collab G-Shock with gold-tone bezel in UK

G-Shock has teamed up once again with Tokyo-based streetwear brand BlackEyePatch for their third collaboration. This time, Casio gives the classic DW-5600 a bold gold-and-black treatment. To recall, Casio introduced the BlackEyePatch collaboration model internationally earlier this month. Now, the Japanese watchmaker has officially listed the G-Shock DW-5600BEP-9 on its UK website, revealing the features and price of the model.
Design-wise, the digital watch retains the familiar silhouette of the iconic DW-5600 (curr. at $100 on Amazon). It features a bio-based resin-made gold-tone bezel and band paired with a black face, creating a contrasting color scheme. There’s BlackEyePatch branding on the dial and also engraved on the case back. Plus, it ships with a specially designed box with the BlackEyePatch mark on the lid and “time is money” printed across the packaging.
Furthermore, it retains the same case from DW-5600, measuring 48.9 x 42.8 x 13.4 mm (1.93 x 1.69 x 0.53 inches) and weighing around 53 grams (1.86 ounces). There’s a mineral crystal on top of the dial, which offers basic scratch resistance. Practical features include 200 m (20 bar) water resistance, a 24-hour countdown timer, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a full auto calendar (to the year 2099), and a white super Illuminator backlight with afterglow.
On top of these features, it offers an accuracy of ±15 per month. A CR2026 powers the watch, which is said to offer five years of battery life. As for price, the Casio G-Shock DW-5600BEP-9 is priced at £130. Buyers can sign up on Casio’s website to be notified when the watch becomes available.
