Reiterating previous reports, Xiaomi is preparing a new, small tablet to launch shortly in addition to the 14-inch Xiaomi Pad 7 Max. This small tablet will launch as a Redmi device, and a new leak has now provided some insight into what it'll look like.
As shared by Digital Chat Station, the Redmi tablet will be a gaming-focused device and will sport a small display in the region of 8 inches. The leaker has also revealed what the tablet will look like and yes, it looks exactly like a tablet. That's all we can say considering the leaked image—evidently of an iPad Mini—depicts a minimalistic slate with a single rear camera. The leaker does claim that the tablet will sport slimmer bezels than shown in the image, however.
While the Redmi gaming tablet's design will not be its forte, the tablet will deliver serious performance thanks to the Dimensity 9400+ it's expected to feature. That chipset ensures it'll outperform its closest rival, the 8.8-inch Lenovo Legion Y700 (2025), which launched with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 last year. It's unknown when the Redmi gaming tablet will make its debut but prior leaks have tipped it to launch anywhere between April and July.
