While many are looking forward to the launch of the Oppo Pad 4 Pro which is expected to be the first tablet powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, it appears the Chinese brand is also developing a budget Android tablet that will launch as the Oppo Pad SE.
Evidence of the Oppo Pad SE's existence has been spotted in multiple places including Singapore's IMDA and on Geekbench. Starting with the former, the Oppo Pad SE has been certified by the agency, and the documents reveal there will be two versions — an LTE variant with model number OPD2420
and a Wi-Fi only version with the model number OPD2419
. An import and export document even provides more details such as its screen size which is 10.95 inches as well as its RAM and storage which are 4GB and 128GB respectively.
In addition to these is a Geekbench result of the LTE model which reveals the Oppo Pad SE will ship with Android 15, have 4GB of RAM, and be powered by MediaTek's MTK6789 chipset a.k.a. the Helio G99/Helio G99 Ultra. Despite being almost 3 years old already, the Helio G99 is the chipset of choice used for many budget Android tablets such as the Redmi Pad, OnePlus Pad Go, Oppo Pad Neo, and the Lenovo Tab Plus (curr. available on Amazon for $239.99).
The rest of the Oppo Pad SE's specifications are unknown as at the time of writing. There is also no info about when it will be announced, but based on some of the documents, it appears it will be announced in multiple regions.
