The iPad is often regarded as one of the best tablets on the market, but it is somewhat hampered by its inability to sit propped up at a usable angle without a case. Most cases on the market can hold the tablet in one or two positions, but Moft is aiming to change that with the Dynamic Folio.
The Dynamic Folio is an iPad case that recently hit Kickstarter. The case attaches to the back of an iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro, or iPad Mini magnetically and has a cover that folds over the screen. This cover can also fold in multiple different ways, resembling origami, to prop the attached iPad at over 20 different angles.
In addition to holding the iPad at certain angles, the Dynamic Folio can also elevate the tablet between 2 and 3 inches above the tabletop, which may make it easier for artists, creatives, and note takers to get their work done. It can also be folded to create a stand for holding another small device, such as a smartphone, above the tablet.
The Dynamic Folio is made from MOVAS-P vegan leather and comes in two colors: Jet Black and Cement x Sapphire (which is gray on one side and light blue on the other). It is compatible with a slew of devices, including iPad 10, iPad 11, iPad Air 4, iPad Air 5, iPad Air M2 (both 11" and 13"), iPad Air M3 (both 11" and 13"), iPad Pro 11 from the 2nd Gen on, iPad Pro 13 from the 4th Gen on, iPad Mini 6, and iPad Mini 7.
The Dynamic Folio is available for pre-order on Kickstarter for $39 (Mini), $45 (11-inch), or $59 (13-inch). These are early bird prices and are subject to change. It is expected to ship in May 2025.
