The new Honor Pad X9a is a new edition of the Honor Pad X9. Honor continues to install an 11.5-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2,508 x 1,504, a contrast ratio of 1,500:1, a maximum brightness level of 400 nits and a frame rate of 120 Hz. Depending on the content displayed, the frame rate can be lowered to 60 Hz or 90 Hz in order to reduce power consumption.
According to the Honor's marketing, the Pad X9a is perfect for video streaming in conjunction with its four loudspeakers, which are said to enable 200% higher volume, more powerful bass and surround sound. The tablet is also said to be suitable for web and educational applications. However, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC is somewhat limited for apps with higher computing requirements, although Honor has at least installed 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage.
Hidden inside the 6.77-millimeter thin, 475-gram light metal housing is an 8,300 mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C with up to 35 watts. The 5 MP f/2.2 selfie camera is located on the edge of the screen, while the 8 MP f/2.0 main camera is located in a square camera module on the back that also houses a ring-shaped LED flash. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 are supported, and the tablet ships with MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15.
