The Honor 400 series is thought to launch soon as a line of mid-range Android smartphones with an on-trend compact variant. It and its Pro sibling are now rumored to launch with the same ultra-high-resolution main rear shooter. The latter might have the more premium camera specs overall, though, as well as the larger battery.

The Honor 400 and 400 Pro are currently thought to emulate the Oppo Find X8 and X8 Pro from an improved price-point, as the former is thought to have a relatively small 6.55-inch display compared to 6.72 inches in the latter.

Now, the renowned leaker Digital Chat Station hints that they might also be like the higher-end Magic7 Pro with a 200MP image sensor apiece  - except that the extra-high-resolution spec will comprise the main rear camera in the mid-rangers, rather than the telephoto lens as in the Honor flagship smartphone.

The 400 series could still have a high-end zoom camera, although it might be 50MP instead and exclusive to the Pro variant.

It is thought to join other premium features such as a metal mid-frame and an up-to-date ~7,000mAh battery in the 400 Pro.

That might be just as well, as the device is also believed to stick with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 silicon as its 300 Pro forebear.
