HTC: HTC’s Android tablet to appear in early 2011

The newbie from HTC will probably run the Android 3.0 OS. No other specs are known as of yet.

Going by the latest headlines popping up in the ultraportables arena, the much anticipated HTC Android Tablet will debut in the early half of 2011. Well the tablet that is to be run on the Android 3.0 (codenamed Gingerbread) showing up that early may not be taken well by its prospective competitors like the Apple iPad, the Samsung Galaxy Tab  and several others within the same gambit. As per the grapevine doing the rounds it is being said that the tablet may eat up a large share of the competitors’ revenues.

HTC has been consistent in delivering some of the most talked about and immensely popular devices, so obviously the next release that of the HTC Android Tablet is being awaited with much eagerness. However till date there are no reports available on the processing capabilities, screen size, resolution etc whatsoever but it can be said without any deliberation that it will inevitably be a high quality, user appealing gadget going by the history of HTC products.

The tablet was first showcased during the CES 2010, where it was speculated to run Chrome OS eventually, looking at the long relationship HTC has been enjoying with Google. But as Android becomes more and more acceptable among the tablet community, both might have decided to use the Gingerbread instead.
