Vivo officially reveals new details of its upcoming foldable phone

Vivo has started teasing new details about its upcoming flagship foldable phone, the X Fold 6. For context, the Vivo X Fold 5 was released in June 2025 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 6,000mAh battery, and a 50MP triple rear camera setup with Zeiss tuning.
The brand has now officially confirmed that the new Vivo X Fold 6 will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. According to Vivo product manager Han Boxiao, the "Super Edition" will offer improved NPU performance and lower power consumption. The chipset is also said to deliver improved multitasking performance.
Vivo has also confirmed that the X Fold 6 will run OriginOS 6 Fold, a custom UI tailored for a foldable-focused experience. Other specifications and the release date are yet to be revealed.
A previous leak suggests that the X Fold 6 will sport a 200MP primary camera and a 50MP zoom camera. It is tipped to feature a 7,000mAh battery, surpassing the 4,400mAh capacity on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (curr. $1,599 on Amazon). The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to launch in China in June 2026.
