Vivo officially details Zeiss camera system for new foldable

Vivo has confirmed new details about its upcoming flagship foldable phone, the X Fold 6. The company previously confirmed the Vivo X Fold 6 will run OriginOS 6 Fold, a custom UI optimized for foldable devices. Moreover, the company has revealed that the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset.
Camera details of the Vivo X Fold 6
According to Vivo product manager Han Boxiao on Weibo, the X Fold 6 will feature a 200MP Samsung HPB main camera with a sensor size of 1/1.4-inch and an f/1.68 aperture. The phone will also feature a Zeiss APO periscope telephoto camera using a 50MP Sony LYT-602 sensor. Notably, both the main camera and telephoto camera are confirmed to support CIPA 4.5-rated stabilization.
The X Fold 6 is confirmed to support portrait focal lengths from 23mm to 100mm with 50MP output. Vivo claims the X Fold 6 is the only foldable phone with a “full-focal-length zoom flash,” which is said to provide better lighting for night portraits across different focal lengths. The company has also revealed that the X Fold 6 will support the Vivo Zeiss Teleconverter G2, offering an equivalent focal length of 200mm.

The Vivo X Fold 6 is also confirmed to feature an 8.02-inch inner screen using Samsung’s M14 light-emitting material. The inner and outer displays will support up to 5,000 nits peak brightness and a minimum brightness of 1 nit.
At the time of writing, Vivo has not confirmed an exact release date for the X Fold 6. However, the foldable phone is expected to launch in June 2026 in China.
