A respected leaker has reportedly let it be known that the successor to the Mi Band 4 will be unleashed on the Indian market soon. It will apparently be joined there by the Mi Watch Revolve, the global version of Xiaomi's first round-faced smartwatch. However, the tipster did not mention an exact date for this event.
Deirdre O'Donnell,

The Mi Band 5 is to join its wildly successful predecessor the 4 on the Indian market soon. At least, this is what 91Mobiles claims to have heard from the well-known leaker Ishan Agarwal. This source also apparently now believes that the Mi Watch Revolve will also become available in this country.

It has previously been established that the Revolve is the global edition of the Mi Watch Color, which has only been sold through Chinese retailers thus far. However, should Agarwal be correct, it seems Xiaomi may finally be ready to launch it outside this country as well.

To recap briefly, the Mi Watch Revolve/Color has an AMOLED display with a 1.39-inch radius, a heart-rate monitor and a battery rated for up to 14 days' worth of life per charge.

The Mi Band 5, on the other hand, is of the fitness-tracker form factor, with a screen of 1.1 inches in diagonal length. It also tracks the user's heart rate as well as their sleep patterns, supports 11 sports modes and PAI. To date, it is not clear if its putative Indian-market units would also have NFC or not.

Deirdre O'Donnell
I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
