Xiaomi usually launches its new Mi Band for the year in June or thereabouts. However, previous leaks have indicated that it is working on a successor to this device's current generation already. The "6" is rumored to have a blood-oxygen sensor as well as a larger display. Therefore, it might be seriously in demand, especially should it remain at around the ~US40 price-point of 2020.
Now, further signs that the Mi Band 6 does indeed exist and might launch soon have emerged. The leaker Mukul Sharma (or @stufflistings) claims to have found that the wearable has passed through both Indonesia Telecom and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) testing.
The device is called the "Mi Smart Band 6" in this new leak, although it is probably still the same product from earlier tips. It apparently has the model number XMSH15HM, although the possibility of this SKU having NFC is not covered in the putative certification. Nevertheless, it remains a solid hint that Xiaomi might start to introduce its latest fitness tracker worldwide soon.
