The Huawei TalkBand B6 fitness tracker and Bluetooth headset has been officially launched and is now available for pre-order, with the wearable going on sale to the public on August 6. The new gadget from the Chinese OEM comes in three different models and offers a wealth of handy functions. These include health-management features (sleep/heart/blood oxygen/blood pressure), menstrual cycle monitor, smartphone synchronization, voice assistant, stress monitoring, sport modes support (running, riding, etc.), and the usual smart utilities you would expect from such a wearable.
Clearly the new Huawei TalkBand B6 is geared towards encouraging a healthier lifestyle, and it also comes in three variants, some with a choice of colors. There is the entry-level Sports Edition that features either a red or black silicone strap and costs 999 yuan (US$143/£110/€121/₹10,679). The next model up is the Fashion Edition with a camellia brown or mocha brown leather strap that is priced at 1,199 yuan (US$171/£132/€146/₹12,818). Lastly, there is the very classy-looking Exclusive Edition with the titanium bracelet that will set you back 1,499 yuan (US$214/£165/€182/₹16,027).
In terms of the display, the Huawei TalkBand B6 has a 1.53-inch AMOLED screen with 468x188 resolution and 326 ppi. There is a 120-mAh battery onboard (USB Type-C charging) that can last up to three days of typical use and offers up to 8 hours of talk time. The TalkBand B6 can be linked with smartphones running on Android 4.4 or above and Apple iPhones on iOS 9.0 and above. There is 1 GB RAM and 16 GB storage included that operate alongside the Kirin A1 wearable chip. The duality of the Huawei TalkBand B6 should help it stand out from the crowded wearables space, along with its deep focus on the current health status of its wearer.
